How do you like the new Azeroth and the new way of leveling? Read my Mage leveling guide if you want to find the fastest way of gathering experience in this new world!
Please don’t get me wrong – in fact I love the new WoW add-on. The new quests are exciting and there’s a lot to explore. But as soon as you have leveled up once in the new world you will have seen it all and it will not be as exciting again.
Soon everything will be known and back to the old, mindless grind. Of course there’s still a way to get it over with faster and start enjoying the endgame content again!
Your first step is to forget about all the WotLK leveling talent builds and guides. You probably know that they don’t work with the new talent mechanic anyway. But there are still a lot of outdated builds and it’s hard to find new ones. You have to start to look for new ones.
Here’s my strategy: I go with a talent build that suits my unique style of playing instead of a one-size-fits-all build! Instead of leveling any faster you will actually spend more time if you choose a build that you feel uncomfortable with and which doesn’t suit your style.
The second step is to batch all the preparation tasks. It’s just like in the business world. Here’s one example: Instead of buying glyphs every now and then get them all at once. Or get all your new gear right now. This way you can prepare items, glyphs, materials and gear all at once. No running back and forth. The items will all be where they are needed – directly in your inventory.
I recommend you to buy all the green gear you will need on your journey and sort them by levels. Buying blue items costs too much in my opinion. Remember that stamina is necessary to survive, even for mages like you.
Now you have 3 great opportunities to level faster. Hopefully you learned something new from my mage leveling guide. I’m positive you will hit level 85 in no time!
